Relación personal se basa en un modelo de experimentación con vegetales desarrollado durante una residencia en Vila Sul (Brasil). El objetivo del proyecto fue hacer germinar organismos vegetales unidos, mezclándose o compartiendo un mismo espacio.
El proceso comprendía la germinación de semillas, legumbres, bulbos y tubérculos por un mes. Luego de brotar los vegetales fueron implantados en una serie de maceteros con palmas ornamentales que decoran los pasillos del Goethe-Institut de Salvador, Bahía.
En un acto parasitario, estas hortalizas comestibles utilizaron los recursos ya existentes de la institución alemana para desplegarse y sobrevivir. La exhibición incluye además un texto escrito en papel de lija sujetado por vigas de construcción.
Relación personal is based on an experimentation with vegetables developed during a residency at Vila Sul (Brasil). The project aimed to germinate united organisms, by mixing them or sharing the same space.
The process involved the growth of seeds, legumes, bulbs, and tubers for one month. After germinating, the sprouts were implanted in a series of pots that had ornamental tree-palms to decorate the corridors of the Goethe-Institut of Salvador, Bahia.
In a parasitic act, these edible vegetables used the existing resources of the German institution to deploy and survive. The exhibition also includes a text written on sandpaper that is held by construction beams.
